Orem Home for Sale

Spring time view

Welcome to the blog we have created
to show our Orem home.
We didn't think we would ever leave this home...
So we worked on it thinking it would be the place we would stay for the rest of our lives.

These passive west facing solar windows allow the winter sunshine in.
In the summer the trees allow beautiful filtered light to stream in yet keep the house cool.
You almost feel like you are living in a tree house!

New carpeting...
Artists Jeanne and David Gomm designed and created these stained glass transoms featuring the classic craftsman design of the ginkgo tree. It is such a pleasure to see them at all hours of the day, as they change with the natural light.

Second upstairs bedroom/office off the master suite.

The upstairs guest bathroom.

The beautiful shade garden on the north side of the house.

Side yard with iron fence and gate and two beautiful pine trees (one not shown)
Our front yard and the next door neighbors. Both yards together look like a park!

This garden space gets just the right amount of sun. In the past one bed has been used to grow cutting flowers and the other as a vegetable and herb garden.
To the right is a pear tree and an apple tree.

We extended the "cobblestone" walk to come around to the backyard. It also encircles this fountain that attracts birds to the yard. We also replaced the old fence with this beautiful cedar fence. The fence has been treated so it will retain it's rich natural color.

Taken from our dining room window January 2008--what could be more awe inspiring?

As mentioned above, we bought this house thinking we would be in it possibly the rest of our lives. We are actually quite sad about leaving it because we have made it such a great place to live. Our only problem with this house is that we have nine adult children (and their spouses) and 21 grandchildren and it just isn't big enough to have get togethers !!!

This home has a wonderful history. We have had many fun events here such as a backyard concert last summer with Sam Payne, birthday celebrations, etc. The yard is large and we easily accommodated 40+ people at our concert last summer.

We have worked very hard on this house remodeling, building new shelving for storage, putting in new flooring and carpeting, re-texturing, painting, putting in landscaping and gardens etc. Every detail meticulously executed.

We have been very fortunate to have friendly neighbors! The people we bought this home from bought another home in the same neighborhood.

Thank you for your consideration--worth your time to see in person.
